DEVELON’s redesigned cab of the Dash 7 ADT line, created to enhance operator productivity, comfort, and safety through advanced automation and intuitive technology, has been extended to the DA30-7 ADT.
Auto-Hold brake function simplifies the operator’s job
The new Auto-Hold brake function, previously announced on the DA45-7 ADT, simplifies operation on job sites with its specialized hill assist function.
Key benefits of Auto-Hold:
- Stationary security: When loading or unloading the ADT, pressing the Auto-Hold button engages the truck’s brakes and puts it into neutral automatically.
- Intuitive reengagement: When the operator is ready to move the machine, simply engaging the drive and accelerating will automatically release the hold brake.
- Uphill/downhill assistance: During uphill situations, the Auto-Hold brake system removes the need for two-foot operation. The brake releases automatically once the driveline torque is sufficient to create forward motion.
The parking brake switch has also been added to the new DA30-7. The updated control more closely resembles an automotive-style parking brake. Operators can pull the lever up to activate the truck’s parking brake. When operators are ready to move the truck, they can simply press the lever to deactivate.
An intuitive touch-screen display has been added to the cab
The new DA30-7 comes standard with a 12-inch touch-screen display monitor. This upgraded interface provides operators with a larger, clearer view of critical machine data, status updates, and settings. Positioned at eye level, the monitor allows operators to view machine data, gradients, and camera feeds without looking down or away from the area in front of them.
Real-time monitoring includes the following:
- Active payload measuring system: Displays the weight of each load on-screen to help optimize productivity and prevent overloading.
- Gradient meter: Monitors the machine’s incline and pitch in real time to enhance safety and prevent tipping.
- Operational gauges: Show travel speed, engine rpm, and fuel and diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) levels and consumption rates.
- Temperature readings: Monitor engine and hydraulic oil temperature to ensure that the machine operates within safe limits.
DEVELON’s Dash 7 updates complement its durable ADT design
While the ADT operator environment has seen a total overhaul, the trucks maintain the superior mechanical design that DEVELON ADTs are known for, including:
- Unique driveline: A front-mounted turning ring ensures equal weight distribution to the front axle even during maximum steer articulation.
- Superior traction: The free-swinging rear tandem bogie provides permanent 6-wheel ground contact and power distribution on difficult terrain.
- Self-levelling suspension: The hydro-gas front suspension system continues to provide superior shock absorption and a smoother ride.
DEVELON ADTs come standard with MY DEVELON fleet management (telematics). Owners can use a smartphone app or web browser to remotely monitor their ADTs for fuel usage, machine health, operator productivity, and more. Owners can use the telematics tool to monitor an ADT’s active payload meter data to verify that trucks are consistently filled without being overloaded, which protects the machine from excessive wear.
