At the centre of the company’s presence at EuroBLECH will be Sensum®, TECNA’s integrated platform for resistance welding process control. The technology has been developed to provide greater visibility and control throughout the welding process, combining sensor technology with a web-based interface and connectivity features.
The EuroBLECH showcase will also include three new solutions that expand TECNA’s offering for industrial resistance welding: the Master-Slave Resistance Welding Inverter, a new MFDC Inverter Transformer, and a C-Type Robot Spot Welding Gun for automated applications.
Sensum: integrated resistance welding process control
Sensum will be demonstrated at EuroBLECH through an ecosystem of technologies designed to support different stages of the welding process.
Weldpiece Management™ (WPM™) guides the operator through a predefined welding sequence, managing individual weld spots and process progression. C.A.R.E.™ monitors electrode position and contact before welding, helping preventing from errors associated with incorrect positioning.
Completing the platform is Sensum Data Hub™ (SDH), which collects welding events, process data and welding graphs and makes this information available for integration with the customer’s databases, applications and production systems.
Together, these technologies extend the Sensum concept beyond individual welding parameters, providing tools to manage the welding sequence, monitor process conditions and make production data accessible to external systems.
Master-Slave Resistance Welding Inverter
TECNA will also introduce its new Sensum Master-Slave Resistance Welding Inverter, extending Sensum technology to resistance welding applications with higher power requirements.
Available with nominal output currents of 3600 A and 5000 A, the system features a web-based user interface that can be accessed locally or remotely through a browser. Optional industrial fieldbus connectivity, including EtherCAT, PROFINET and EtherNet/IP, supports integration into different industrial automation environments.
The new inverter combines higher power capabilities with the connectivity and digital interface approach of the Sensum platform.
15.5 kVA MFDC Inverter Transformer
Another new product presented in Hannover will be the 4000018927 Inverter Transformer, a compact 15.5 kVA MFDC transformer developed for medium-frequency resistance welding applications.
The transformer uses a diode-rectified secondary to provide direct current for more uniform welding. With a weight of 10 kg, water cooling and the possibility of series or parallel wiring, the unit has been designed to provide flexibility when integrating it into different resistance welding machine configurations.
Transformers are a long-established part of TECNA’s resistance welding component portfolio, alongside inverters, control units and other components for industrial welding systems.
C-Type Robot Spot Welding Gun for automated welding cells
Automation will also form part of TECNA’s EuroBLECH presentation with the C-Type standard Robot Spot Welding Gun, developed for automated resistance welding applications.
The system combines an inverted roller screw actuator with 52 kVA, 82 kVA or 90 kVA Light MFDC transformer options and provides a welding force of 500 daN or 650 daN.
Designed for integration into robotic welding cells, the C-Type gun features water-cooled transformer and gun systems and compatibility with third-party motors, providing a configurable solution for different automation requirements.
The new robotic welding solution reflects TECNA’s broader focus on automation and robotics as part of the continuing development of its resistance welding technologies.
Meet TECNA at EuroBLECH 2026
EuroBLECH 2026 will provide visitors with the opportunity to meet the TECNA team, explore the new technologies and see the latest resistance welding solutions in operation through live demonstrations.
