Volvo Construction Equipment’s new SD70 soil compactor is a smart, cost-efficient solution for contractors and rental fleets. This 66-inch, 7-ton roller has the same drum perfromance as Volvo’s SD75, but with a streamlined design to reduce costs.

Volvo’s advanced drum control system offers multiple frequencies, dual amplitudes, and optimized centrifugal force for consistent, high-quality results across a variety of job conditions.

The 74-hp Volvo Tier 4 Final engine provides high torque at low rpm, keeping fuel consumption low while delivering the performance that operators want. The passive regeneration to clean filters automatically.

The ergonomically designed operator’s station provides a safe, comfortable, and productive working environment with excellent all-around visibility. An optional canopy sunshade is available.

Volvo says that durability and heavy-duty components, common across Volvo’s soil compaction range, is central to the SD70’s design. Convenient ground-level service access simplifies routine maintenance, maximizing uptime and productivity. Volvo also offers a lifetime frame guarantee.

CareTrack telematics are standard and ActiveCare Direct advanced telematics are available. Both systems provide weekly performance reports and proactive maintenance alerts. With both options owners will have reliable 24/7 machine monitoring from Volvo’s Uptime Center.
