During its 2026 Dealer Meeting, Hitachi Construction Machinery Americas shared its vision for the future as it prepares to rebrand as LANDCROS on April 1, 2027. The company says that the brand transition represents an expanded focus on delivering innovative solutions and strong global partnerships that will help customers address challenges in the construction, mining, quarrying, and infrastructure sectors.

This will include entry into several new machine categories in North America. Over the next two years, Hitachi’s equipment lineup will grow to include wheeled excavators, articulated dump trucks, and compact track loaders under the new LANDCROS brand.

Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. has also signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Yanmar Holdings Co., Ltd. to explore collaboration in the compact construction equipment business.

In the competitive compact equipment sector, sustainable growth is expected to require new approaches outside the traditional business framework, such as collaboration between full-line manufacturers and companies specializing in compact equipment.

Yanmar and Hitachi are both Japanese companies and share a dedication to technological innovation, durability, and quality, says Hitachi. Building on this foundation, the companies will explore potential areas of collaboration in the compact equipment business, leveraging Yanmar Compact Equipment’s strengths in specialized compact construction equipment and Hitachi Construction Machinery’s global business infrastructure serving the construction and mining sectors.

The companies will maintain their respective brand identities throughout the collaboration, and both companies will continue to serve customers through their independent dealer networks.
