Kok Lexmond, a Dutch company active in civil engineering and recycling, has received the first Develon DX360LC-9 crawler excavator from the new smart range. The machine is part of a broader order that includes two additional DX360LC-9 models, scheduled for delivery in the coming months.
The Dutch family-owned company has more than 45 years of experience and operates from four locations in the Netherlands. It works in civil engineering, road and water construction, and recycling, with a fleet of around 150-200 machines. A significant part of its activity focuses on recycling directly on site, alongside supporting customers through the different operational stages of their projects.
A New 37-Tonne Platform
The DX360LC-9 is a 37-tonne crawler excavator included in Develon’s new Series 9 range. The machine uses a platform built around full electronic hydraulic (FEH) technology and integrates artificial intelligence-based functions to manage work systems.
Under the hood, the DX360LC-9 is powered by the Develon DX08V engine, rated at 227 kW, or 304 HP, at 1,800 rpm according to SAE J1995, with a maximum torque of 1,230 kgf/m at 1,300 rpm. In its standard front configuration, the machine offers a maximum digging depth of 7,512 mm and a maximum digging reach of 11,113 mm.
The choice of the DX360LC-9 reflects Kok Lexmond’s operational requirements, particularly in recycling activities that call for stable, efficient machines suitable for use with crushing attachments. The model meets these requirements especially in terms of balance when working in crushing applications. Kok Lexmond’s fleet currently includes 17 Develon/Doosan machines, including 13 units supplied through Develon, with the three DX360LC-9 excavators now being added under the agreement.
ELM Bouwmachines, Develon’s new authorised dealer for the south-west of the Netherlands, also played a role in the purchasing process. The dealer supported Kok Lexmond in assessing the Series 9 range, explaining the main technical and operational updates introduced on the machines. Among the factors considered by the company were aftermarket support, the dealer’s technical expertise, ease of contact and the 5-year or 7,500-hour factory warranty.
In its daily operations, Kok Lexmond uses 10 mobile crushing sets, each processing an average of around 2,000 tonnes of material. The recovered mixed aggregates are transformed into certified reusable construction materials for new applications in the Netherlands and Belgium.
