Linder Industrial Machinery Holds Open House in Fayettville, N.C.

Florida-based Linder Industrial Machinery Co. recently held an open house at its Fayetteville, N.C., branch where the dealership sells its lineup of Komatsu, Kubota and other construction equipment.

Current and prospective customers visited the site just off Interstate 95 Business/U.S. Highway 301 to get a look at Linder’s new operations on the east side of the city and learn more about the company’s future plans for the site.

Also on hand was Linder President and Chief Executive Officer John Coughlin to meet and greet folks stopping in for the event. While there, he also answered questions about Linder’s new expansion efforts at the branch.

“We acquired this Fayetteville building in September 2023, a strictly Kubota sales location with Cumberland Tractors, but now we are in the process of building a brand-new shop to also support Kubota, Komatsu, our new lineup of Deutz-Fahr Tractors and all the product lines that Linder represents,” he said. “The buildings here are set up to deal with agriculture, construction, port solutions and waste handling and recycling, so we have a vast array of equipment designed for each of those industries.”

Linder plans to add another 12,000 sq. ft. of shop space and 5,000 sq. ft. of parts storage in Fayetteville later this year so that it can adequately serve the market with its range of products offerings.

“The branch will include four Komatsu bays; currently, it already has another eight Kubota bays in its shop,” said Coughlin. “The Komatsu bays will be 100-feet-wide by 80-feet-long and employ a state-of-the-art washing facility on the back of the service area.

“It is all about speed — being able to get the customer in and out quicker by the systems we are incorporating into this facility,” he said.

With other eastern North Carolina branches in Raleigh, Greenville and Wilmington, Linder sought out a location in Fayetteville based on the area’s logistics and the fact that it is a growing market, Coughlin added.

To complement its largely agricultural Kubota line of machines, Linder officially added Deutz-Fahr Tractors machines on April 1, 2024, to the Fayetteville branch, which promise to be popular among the region’s many farmers.

“We are here to serve the tobacco, soybean and corn farms in eastern North Carolina as well as those that raise chickens and hogs,” he said. “These types of operations are all on expansive acreage and, as a result, demand high horsepower tractors, which we are glad to be able to fulfill with Deutz-Fahr.

Coughlin described the tractors as large and powerful machines with up to 340 hp.

“We are also very excited to be part of this community. Linder is a giving company, and we want to contribute to charities in the area and become a supporter of Fort Liberty (formerly known as Fort Bragg), the growing major U.S. military base here in Fayetteville.”

The expansion project is due to break ground in September.

The upgrade to Linder’s Fayetteville operations is the second such effort the company has orchestrated at one of its Tarheel State branches in the past several months.
