John Deere and Leica Geosystems, part of Hexagon, have announced a strategic partnership to help accelerate the digital transformation of the heavy construction industry. The partnership will leverage the strength of both companies to bring new technologies and services to construction professionals.

Combining the expertise of John Deere with Leica Geosystems’ capabilities in positioning and sensor technology will help the two work together on solutions that improve productivity, reduce material costs, and cut the number of passes required. This can also improve safety by minimizing traffic on construction sites.

Leica Geosystems technology, software, and services will be available for purchase on select John Deere construction equipment models starting in 2024.
