As Roger Alm, President Volvo Trucks, affirmed. Volvo’s ambitions do not stop in Europe. An ambitious growth plan is underway in the United States, backed by a $2 billion investment in product development, including $400 million for its Virginia manufacturing site. Volvo Trucks North America reached a 9.2% market share across the US and Canada with 21.428 trucks delivered, slightly down compared with 2024. Mainly due to wider market trends in the long-haul segment, which is at the core of Volvo Trucks’ North American business. Globally, in 2025, Volvo Trucks ranks either first or second in market position across 30 countries.

Another key focus for Volvo Trucks is cutting the use of fossil fuels, as Roger Alm confirms. The goal reach net-zero emissions by 2040, through an approach based on battery-electric vehicles, fuel cell electric vehicles, and combustion engines powered by renewable fuels such as green hydrogen, biogas, biodiesel, or HVO.
