The new EW135 moves the compact market leader into the next performance range, while the WL750p and WL950p wheel loaders bet on 40 km/h and operator assistance
Wacker Neuson already leads the market in wheeled excavators up to 10 tonnes. With the new EW135, the company is carrying that experience into the next size range, alongside two new wheel loaders built for fast materials handling.
“Our customers expect high-performance machines that ensure productivity, ease of operation, and safety in equal measure. That’s why we’ve consistently focused our product development on supporting the operator with intelligent assistance systems while delivering reliable performance for a wide variety of applications.”
Said Fred Cordes, Managing Director of Wacker Neuson Sales Germany and responsible for direct sales markets in Europe.
EW135: a fixed boom for lifting and attachments
The EW135 uses a permanently mounted articulated boom without a swing console. That choice gives more direct power transmission and greater stability, and is the basis for higher lifting forces, which matters for contractors running heavy or complex attachments.
Intelligent hydraulics and MiC 4.0 technology support modern attachments, while an electrohydraulic pilot control system allows precise movements and stores individual operator and attachment profiles. The machine is also prepared for future assistance systems.
Safety equipment includes Active Working Signal (AWS), auto Brake, an advanced overload warning system displayed on a 10-inch HMI, side and rear-view cameras and 360° visibility, plus LED work lights and high-visibility access steps. Travel speed reaches up to 35 km/h.
For utility and municipal contractors, a wheeled excavator that moves quickly between jobs and handles tiltrotators, grabs and other tools with high lifting capacity is exactly the type of machine that replaces two or three more specialised ones.
WL750p and WL950p: the “p” is for performance
The two new wheel loaders combine high pushing power, strong hydraulics and top speeds of up to 40 km/h. Their Power Drive system reaches that speed without gear shifts or changes of drive stage, so tractive force is never interrupted.
A load-sensing pump with standard flow sharing directs hydraulic power where it is needed, lowering energy consumption and allowing simultaneous movements without loss of comfort.
In the cab, a display, jog dial and joystick give direct access to a loading assistant, automatic bucket return and a lift height limiter. Wacker Neuson has also worked on 360° visibility and work area lighting.
The direction of travel
Across all three machines, the common thread is assistance rather than raw horsepower. With skilled operators hard to find, machines that help less experienced drivers work consistently and safely are becoming a selling point in their own right.
