Booth FS.1011

At the Wirtgen Group’s booth at Bauma, the focus will be on eight Smart Production Systems for applications in the areas of road construction, earthmoving and materials processing. Additionally, the 13,000-m2 booth shared with John Deere will feature 45 world premières and around 100 machines from the Group’s brands.

Technology Zone

The Technology Zone will feature the John Deere Operations Center for construction, the centralized platform for digital solutions for the management of jobsites. In addition, visitors will get the first chance to see the Wirtgen Group Performance Tracker (WPT) Paving, WPT Compacting, WPT Recycling, WPT Crushing. Thanks to relevant performance data, these new solutions – and the already known WPT Milling – offer a continuous overview of progress in all processes and can also document the work carried out by each machine, such as a milled, paved, and compacted area and the materials processed. Performance data helps customers make fact-driven decisions that enable them to optimize machine utilization rates and productivity and derive reference values for planning future projects.

“Production System for a Construction Site with Zero Local Emissions”

The Wirtgen Group’s modular concept is based on a platform of alternative drive-system solutions. What’s new is an end-to-end production system that provides everything road construction contractors need for the realization of construction or rehabilitation projects.

This includes a cold milling machine, a road paver, a tandem roller, an asphalt mixing plant, a crushing plant, and a whole suite of specially tailored digital solutions. The outcome of all this is a reduction of CO2 and noise emissions and lower operating and energy costs. This in turn enables a more sustainable and simultaneously more profitable project realization.

With the Wirtgen cold milling machine W 50 Re, the Vögele SUPER 1300-5e road paver, and the Hamm HX 70e tandem roller, the Wirtgen Group has developed a production system that is based on a consistently battery-electric drive concept.

The “production system for a construction site with zero local emissions” has been nominated for the Bauma Innovation Award in the “Climate Protection” category.

Smart Automation in Roadbuilding

Smart Automation in Roadbuilding, the new digitalization and automation solution from the Wirtgen Group, enables the realization of precise and cost-efficient paving results in compliance with planned targets with the core construction crew and without the need for additional, specialized personnel. Factors such as costing analyses in advance also enable optimization of the material volumes and logistics required for the realization of the project.

The key components are the Work Planner as a digital tool in the John Deere Operations Center, Smart LEVEL PRO for automation of the milling depth and cross slope on Wirtgen F-series large milling machines, and Smart Pave for automatic control of the screed position – i.e. steering and screed width adjustment – in the case of the Vögele Dash 5 compact class tracked pavers.

“Smart Automation in Roadbuilding” has been nominated for the Bauma Innovation Award in the “Digitalization” category.

Wirtgen Brands’ Exhibits

  • Wirtgen will be celebrating the first public appearance of its most powerful large milling machine, the W 250 XF, and the entire generation of new wheeled cold recyclers and soil stabilizers.
  • Vögele has expanded its Dash 5 generation in all performance classes, for example, with the first SUPER 1803-5 X-Tier wheeled paver or the MT 3000-5 material feeder.
  • In addition to the new HD 10 – HD 12 G-Tier and HD 90 – HD 110 P-Tier tandem rollers, Hamm will present a range of further models for automated compaction, including the HC 130i C VA compactor.
  • Kleemann will be offering the first PRO line screening plant for the materials processing sector. This new plant will be used predominantly in the processing of natural stone.
  • Benninghoven will be showcasing the MULTI JET burner generation, which enables the use of 100% hydrogen as a fuel.
  • Ciber’s technologies for continuous asphalt production will be on display.
  • John Deere will display a representative cross-section of products for the construction industry including Compact Track Loaders, Motor Graders, Wheel Loaders and Dozers.
