held a successful four-day sale March 19-22 in Montgomery, Ala., and the auction company reported the sale was its largest in 51 years.

A quality selection of trucks, heavy iron, forestry machines, farming equipment, industry support pieces and much more were sold to the highest bidders in-person and online.

Featured sellers included Alabama Power, Georgia Power, Southern Nuclear, State of Alabama, BL Harbert, Bottomline Rental, Brasfield and Gorrie Equipment and Supply, Gulf Services, Joe Mcgee Construction, Strack Inc., Wiregrass Construction and more than 100 counties and cities across the Southeast.

Just shy of 6,000 machines and trucks went in the block over four days.

Highlights of the sale included a 2016 Caterpillar D10T2, which sold for $850,000; a Caterpillar D11T for $560,000; a 2007 Caterpillar D10T for $575,000; and more than 100 county owned Kenworth T880 dump trucks, which brought in as much as $330,000.

“Buyers were very active and the Internet bidding was as strong as we have ever seen'” said Russ Wood. “We had over 33,000,000 online bids in four days, resulting in a record percentage of the auction being sold online. We were very happy for our sellers” CEG
