At Demo Days 2026, Bobcat presented its new compact track loader. The T650 Stage V, built for regulated European and other Stage V markets, combines a familiar 600-frame platform with emissions compliance that does not require AdBlue, an increasingly relevant proposition for contractors and rental fleets seeking straightforward operation on demanding jobsites.

Unveiled at Bobcat’s EMEA headquarters in Dobříš, near Prague, the T650 was one of the main product debuts during an event that ran from 26 May to 4 June. More than 90 Bobcat machines and over 250 attachments and accessories were available for customers to test in applications ranging from construction and demolition to agriculture, forestry, landscaping, lifting and roadbuilding.

For the loader market, the T650 represents more than a model addition. It extends Bobcat’s compact track loader range in regions where emissions regulations, uptime and operating simplicity increasingly shape purchasing decisions.

Bobcat T650 Compact Track Loader

Built at Bobcat’s Dobříš plant, the T650 is powered by a 2.4-litre Bobcat engine producing 55 kW, or 74 HP. The machine is designed around a vertical lift path and offers a rated operating capacity of 1,192 kg, positioning it for truck loading, pallet handling and earthmoving in confined sites.

That matters because compact track loaders are often expected to cover multiple roles in a fleet. The T650 is intended to work as both a dedicated loader and a tool carrier, using Bobcat’s proprietary Bob-Tach mounting system and maintaining compatibility with customers’ existing attachments. Optional High-Flow hydraulics broaden the range of hydraulic tools it can support, while standard Machine IQ telematics adds a fleet-management layer for monitoring and maintenance planning.

Bobcat has also focused on visibility and daily usability. The forward cab position and transparent door are designed to give operators a direct view of the attachment and working area. LED work lights support longer operating hours in low-light conditions, while the steel frame, cooling system and service-oriented layout are intended to support durability across year-round applications.

At Demo Days, Bobcat also introduced the next evolution of its R-Series compact loader family, covering the T66-2, T76-2 and T86-2 compact track loaders, alongside the S66-2, S76-2 and S86-2 skid-steer loaders.

The updated models bring a new naming structure intended to make it easier for customers to identify the latest generation of machines. At the top of the range, the S86-2 and T86-2 receive a 115 HP engine for higher-demand applications. Other changes include lift-height capability of up to 3.7 m, an 8-inch touchscreen display with integrated technology and four selectable drive modes that allow operators to adjust machine responsiveness to the task.

For contractors, the practical implication is greater flexibility. Loader operators increasingly move between grading, material handling, attachment-led work and tight-access applications during the same shift. Features that improve control, visibility and attachment compatibility can therefore have a direct effect on productivity and operator confidence.

Another new arrival, the MT120 mini track loader, addresses the lower-footprint end of the market. With a width of 91 cm, a maximum tipping load of 1,573 kg, a lift height of 2.24 m and a reach of 56 cm, the machine is aimed at landscaping, construction and grounds-maintenance professionals working in constrained spaces or on sensitive surfaces.

“It has been 15 years since we started Demo Days and they have proved to be must-visit events for our Bobcat dealers and their customers to try out a wide selection of machines and different types of attachments in working conditions.”

Said Katinka Kincses, Bobcat Product Manager for loaders.

With the T650 now joining the line-up, Bobcat is signalling that compact loader development is moving in several directions at once: emissions compliance, operator technology, attachment versatility and fleet uptime. For European customers, the new model’s ability to meet Stage V requirements without AdBlue may prove to be its most immediate commercial advantage.
