Liebherr’s new 31 XXT truck-mounted concrete pump is the smallest pump type from its 30-metre series. It uses a five-part distribution boom that has an unfolding height of 5.4 metres, giving contractors the flexibility to work on smaller and constrained job sites. Liebherr says that its compact boom is also ideal when working indoors.
Liebherr’s LiDriveIn function
Liebherr’s new LiDriveIn function helps to operate in construction sites with low ceilings. Because of LiDriveIn, the 31 XXT can enter a building in standard operation with the arm package folded in front of the driver’s cab. To bring the arm package folded forward, it is not necessary to swing out the outrigger legs, it is only necessary to move the cylinders downwards. The machine operator lifts the cylinders again and can enter the hall together with the arm package in front of the driver’s cab. Full, partial, or single-sided support can then be provided as desired. The boom can also unfold in front of the driver’s cab because of its short arm segments and low unfolding height.
Storage in the 31 XXT
The 31 XXT uses a hose and pipe storage system that allows for 90 metres of conveyor lines to be carried around. After swinging out the outrigger legs, all bearing magazines are accessible. Contractors can store lines in diametres DN80/100/125. Because of how the magazine with individual pipes is designed, each cable segment carried can be removed individually.
The Powerbloc pump drive unit
Liebherr’s 31 XXT uses the Powerbloc pump drive unit. In the unit, all hydraulic switching and measuring elements are fully integrated. This eliminates the need for numerous hydraulic hoses and other components previously required.
Semi-closed oil circuit reduces oil volume
The new drive unit is combined with the semi-closed oil circuit (HCC), which supplies all drives with hydraulic energy. Liebherr says that, as a result, the oil volume could be significantly reduced. The new system combines the advantages of open and closed circuits currently on the market, without their respective disadvantages. Liebherr says that users have confirmed the quiet and powerful operation of the pump unit.
The 31 XXT can utilize a wide range of accessories like LED lighting designs, storage boxes for materials and tools, and additional shelves for hoses and pipelines.
