McLanahan Corporation has introduced the Renew Impact Crusher, a new crushing solution that helps complete McLanahan’s range of solutions for C&D recycling.
Built to process materials such as asphalt, concrete, and rubble, the impact crusher can also be used for virgin aggregate production, giving recyclers and producers a flexible option for handling a range of crushing applications.
Renew Impact Crusher specs
The Renew Impact Crusher has a feed opening of 36″ x 52″ that is designed to process 24″ feed material efficiently, producing a wide range of output sizes from 6″ down to 3/4″, depending on application requirements.
It features a 47″ x 51″ heavy-duty 4-bar rotor with a unique, maintenance-friendly hammer retaining system. The crusher utilizes robust hammers with a protruding leading edge to keep the gradation and production consistent as they wear. The hammer profile also allows for less core waste by increasing hammer exposure, extending wear life.
The crusher chamber uses a geometry designed to distribute material more evenly through the upper and lower sections of the machine. This helps promote more consistent wear on internal components, support steady production, and improve the consistency of the final material.
Access points and inspection doors positioned around the crusher are intended to make routine maintenance and component replacement easier, which can help limit downtime.
Balancing performance with simplified maintenance
“The goal for this impactor was to provide a crusher that is easy to maintain, provides reliability, lowers cost per ton, and is simple to operate,” says Nick Ford, director of sales for aggregate crushing and screening.
The Renew Impact Crusher allows for skidded or portable plant options. The portable plant option is compact and mobile, making it easier to transport from site to site without having to completely disassemble it.
