Metso brought a collection of new products to share with the North American market at AGG1, including a new cone crusher, horizontal screen, and new wear parts.

The Nordberg HP350e cone crusher is the newest in a series introduced in 2023, and is engineered to meet aggregate and mining industry needs. It features enhanced performance, increased uptime, easier and safer maintenance, and a series of other improvements that benefit a range of rock processing operations.

Performance is improved up to 10 percent in secondary and tertiary application thanks to enhanced kinematics and more efficient chambers, Metso states. It has no backing liners for quick, easier, and safer liner changes, and a head anti-spin brake extends liner wear life. Optional ring bounce monitoring provides active overload protection, and a new feed cone lifting tool makes for safe lifting and handling.

Three alternative kinematics are available to choose from, as are alternative speeds. Ten innovative application-specific no-backing chamber designs can be selected depending on need for secondary, tertiary, and quaternary stages.

Most parts are common between the earlier HP300 and new HP350e designs, and the rest are either interchangeable or upgradable. Current HP300 owners can buy HPe upgrade kits allowing for economical access to some new features.

Nordberg HPe series crushers will be available as Nordplant pre-designed crushing modules, which provide convenient all-in-one delivery with quick assembly for replacing crushing stations or in new quarries. In addition, the first HPe crusher on tracks is being introduced – the Lokotrack LT200HPX, which features a Nordberg HP200e cone crusher and two-deck pre-screen.
