The 3.5-tonne truck-mounted platform from the new TEC range was named Product of the Year, Vehicle/Trailer Mounted, at the 2026 awards in Istanbul

For Palfinger, aerial work platforms are no longer a side line. Its Strategy 2030+ programme names them an additional core pillar, and the company now has an industry award to support that ambition. The PT 25 TJ, part of the new TEC range, was named “Product of the Year: Vehicle/Trailer Mounted” at the International Awards for Powered Access 2026 in Istanbul.

The PT 25 TJ was shortlisted alongside the Multitel Pagliero MJE 710 and the Socage Forste 27D Speed HE+H.

What the platform offers

The PT 25 TJ is built on a 3.5-tonne chassis, the class that many contractors and rental companies favour because it can be driven on a standard licence in much of Europe. It offers a working height of 25 metres, a maximum horizontal outreach of 19 metres and a basket load of 300 kg.

Palfinger highlights improved ergonomics, better basket stability and precise, intuitive controls. A modular component architecture is designed to streamline maintenance and reduce downtime.

An optional battery pack allows the platform to work with the vehicle engine switched off, cutting both emissions and noise on site. The TEC range supports hybrid or fully electric configurations.

The TEC range

The TEC family covers working heights from 19 to 28 metres in the 3.5-tonne class. Palfinger’s focus has been more reach, higher basket loads and better stability at lower weight, along with more freedom in chassis choice. PALFINGER CONNECTED gives access to machine data for remote diagnostics, fleet management and maintenance planning.

Series production is now in full swing, and the first customers have been operating TEC platforms since mid-2026.

“We have listened closely to our customers and translated their requirements into a solution that combines performance, stability, efficiency and ease of operation,” said Alexander Susanek, COO of Palfinger. “This award confirms our ambition to further strengthen aerial work platforms as a core pillar of PALFINGER.”

For rental fleets, the combination of 25 metres of working height, battery operation and telematics on a light truck chassis addresses three demands at once: access to urban sites, low-emission work and higher utilisation. Palfinger says further models are already planned.
