Rehlko’s new Command PRO 888 engine is the first engine to be introduced since the company’s rebrand from Kohler Energy earlier this year. The 888 cc gasoline engine is designed to power commercial ride-on and stand-on mowers for the commercial turf industry, requiring less installation space and high net power for its class.
The compact engine is engineered to simplify integration for OEMs, and makes the Command PRO 888 an effective replacement for larger displacement engines without increased investment or size, says the company. The engine is available in two distinct versions, the CV829 and the CV832.
Offering increased performance and reliability
The compact design of the new engine provides very good torque and power for its size, delivering up to 32 net hp and 53 foot-pounds of torque. The Command PRO 888 also features a strong governor response, for rapid power delivery with a new mechanical governor system. This makes the new engine a good choice for applications requiring instantaneous power and reliability.
Built for diverse machines and applications
The engine’s compact design and drop-in capabilities make it suitable for a broad range of commercial mowers, and makes it easy for OEMs to integrate the engine into existing designs or new installations without extensive redesigns. This ease of transition helps customers who want an efficient and durable engine with more power without a redesigned machine.
End user features
Rehlko’s intention is that landscaping professionals will be able to use the Command PRO 888s power to tackle all of their jobs, and will benefit from the engine’s strong performance and extended maintenance intervals, which increase profitability. Engineered for longevity, the new engine is built to give professionals the peace of mind to focus on their work rather than equipment maintenance.
