Zeppelin launches three new Cat fully hydraulic quick couplers: HCCW20, HCCW30 and HCCW40, with which you can replace accessories directly from the cab, saving time.

Quick replacement of accessories with integrated hydraulic couplings, such as those on new quick release couplings, can save time compared to fixed fittings or conventional quick couplings.

Those who are able to change quickly, automatically pick the most suitable tool for the work phase that is taking place. This way the tools are used as intended. This contributes to productive work and reduces the risk of wear or even damage.

The three quick couplers are compatible with all Cat hydraulic tools and can be used with track excavators and 7.5 to 27 ton tires. Each model has hooks for the load, designed for 10 tons. The unique Locking Control system with sensor technology measures the position of the lock and shows the operator the state of the lock.

In accordance with the European standard EN474, various electronic and mechanical measurements ensure that the accessory is protected even in case of pressure loss. Visual and audible signals in the cab inform the operator of the successful attachment. The new design features an improved hydraulic flow which reduces back pressure, minimises heat build-up and reduces the power required for operation. The clutches are designed for high flow and allow the hydromechanical accessories to operate at full power with limited return pressure. Reliable hydraulic joints prevent oil leakage during accessory change, while the quick-release design extends service life and facilitates maintenance.

Customers with existing Cat excavator fleets that already use the CW quick change system do not need to modify their machines to use the new HCCW quick change devices. Custom tools such as spoons can seamlessly switch between existing CW adapters and new HCCW adapters. The new HC brackets allow existing hydro-mechanical tools such as shears, hammers and pliers to be used.
