Volvo Construction Equipment is preparing for Holiday Lights 2023, a fun and festive way for families to enjoy the decorations and sounds of the season from the comfort of their vehicles.

The free event is open to the public and will take place from Thursday, Dec. 7 to Sunday, Dec. 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. each night.

Volvo Holiday Lights started in 2020 during the pandemic to lift community spirits and is now a new regional tradition. Last year, more than 4,000 vehicles cruised through the campus.

This year’s event features nine machine displays, 15-plus inflatable displays and more than 100,000 lights. Visitors will be greeted by seasonal selections from the Shippensburg High School band and can expect nightly stops by Santa and his elves.

Holiday Lights also amplifies the work of nonprofits in the community. Each machine display is created by Volvo employee teams, who select a local nonprofit to support. Visitors can vote online for their favorite, with the associated charities receiving a donation from Volvo. Voting will be open Dec. 7-10 on the Volvo CE North America Facebook page.

Volvo is inviting its equipment dealers across North America to join the fun by decorating a machine at their locations. The public also can vote on the dealer displays on the Volvo Facebook page, with the winner’s selected nonprofit receiving a donation from Volvo.

Holiday Lights happens at Volvo Construction Equipment, 304 Volvo Way, Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. Vehicles should access from the Route 11 entrance to Rowe Road and wind through the Volvo campus.
