Case CE re-entered the wheeled excavator market in 2023, citing growing demand for the mobile machines on roadbuilding projects and in metro areas.

Diego Butzke, Case CE product manager, gave Equipment World a walkaround tour of the 40,000-pound, 170-horsepower WX155E SR at the 2023 Utility Expo. A WX175E SR was also on display. To get a closer look at the machines, check out the video above.

Other models in Case’s E Series wheeled excavator lineup include the WX140E, WX160E and WX210E.

The WX155E SR and WX175E SR can self-transport from site to site with maximum travel speeds up to 22 miles per hour. The short radius design makes the excavators ideal for working in urban areas and on roadside projects.
