The all-new L100 and updated L85 compact wheel loaders debut at GaLaBau with 15% more auxiliary pressure and up to four attachment functions on a single joystick.
Landscaping crews ask a lot of a compact wheel loader: hundreds of short cycles a day, soft and uneven ground, tight access, and a constant change of attachments.
The all-new L100 and the updated L85 made their debut at GaLaBau in Nuremberg (15 to 18 September 2026). The names now tell buyers what they get: a 1.0 m³ bucket on the L100 and 0.8 m³ on the L85.
“Compact wheel loaders in landscaping are under pressure every day: completing many work cycles, dealing with changing ground conditions and often very limited space. They are intuitive to operate from the first shift, deliver high breakout forces for clean penetration and keep the bucket steady even on uneven terrain.”
Said Matyáš Heuer, Loader Product Manager at Bobcat.
Key figures
The L100 is the larger of the two machines, with a 55.2 kW (74 hp) engine, a 1.0 m³ bucket and an operating weight starting at 5,258 kg. The L85 delivers 50.7 kW (68 hp), carries a 0.8 m³ bucket and weighs 4,796 kg in its standard configuration. Both are available with travel speeds of up to 40 km/h, while the L100 offers a higher bucket breakout force of 5,551 kg compared with 4,588 kg for the L85.
A cab built around the joystick
Up to four attachment functions can be operated from the joystick without the operator’s hand leaving it. With the optional 5-inch colour display, operators can choose between three drive response modes, set the working-mode top speed anywhere between 8 and 16 km/h, and use automatic attachment recognition (ACD), which adapts the joystick controls to the Bobcat attachment connected.
Assistance functions include ride stabilisation through boom suspension, return-to-position for the bucket and a bucket shake function for sticky materials. Engine auto-stop is also fitted. A heated cab, adjustable steering wheel, automatic parking brake and seat-integrated joystick are standard.
More hydraulic muscle for attachments
Auxiliary hydraulic pressure rises from 205 to 235 bar, a 15% increase designed for power-hungry tools such as angle brooms, snow blowers, and sweepers. A High Flow option offers up to 103.5 l/min. Quick Tach is standard, with Bob Tach and 7- and 14-pin connections available.
For municipal work and landscaping contractors, this is where the value lies: a compact loader increasingly earns its keep as an attachment carrier as much as it does as a bucket machine.
Fleet and ownership
Both models come in 20, 30 or 40 km/h versions, with an optional 3.5 t trailer hitch. A reversible cooling fan, extra counterweight and protection kits are available for tougher sites. Maintenance uses a single service point, and Bobcat Machine IQ telematics is standard, with remote diagnostics and remote engine lockout. The standard 2-year or 2,000-hour warranty can be extended to 5 years or 6,000 hours, which Bobcat says is increasingly decisive in leasing costs and residual values.
