The Mecalac Group has introduced the new 12-Series, its new range of wheel excavator loaders that includes the 12MSX, 12MTX and 12MRX models.
The 9,600-kg 12MSX, 9,700-kg 12MTX and the 10,400-kg 12MRX made their debut at Mecalac’s bauma booth in April.
Conceived, designed and manufactured at Mecalac’s Annecy plant in France, the 12-Series combines innovation and performance.
“The 12-Series confirms our commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. We are proud to offer three new versions of our iconic excavator, each designed to meet specific objectives while respecting the quality and safety standards for which Mecalac is renowned,” said Alexandre Marchetta, President of the Mecalac Group.
“The 12-Series stands out for its innovative features and is our key asset for all urban worksites.”
Overall, the 12-Series represents a single machine for digging, loading, handling and carrying tools.
The 12-Series stands out for its unique wheel excavator loader concept, offering versatility combined with performance and productivity. The excavator loaders can work outside and parallel to the machine footprint area and can be fitted with buckets of up to 750 litres. As well, the machines feature 360-degree rotation and static loading thanks to its innovative kinematics.

As a telescopic handler, the excavator loaders deliver impressive lifting capacities, enhanced safety and easy handling of the forks under ground level.
Working as a tool carrier, the 12-Series delivers greater versatility with the Connect quick coupler, Mecalac Tiltrotator compatibility and optimized ground speed management that’s independent of attachment feed.
The new generation 12MTX retains its extreme compactness, its large loader bucket capacity, its 115 hp engine and its lifting performance of up to 4 tonnes at 360 degrees. As well, the list of optional features has been extended to include advanced options such as a float boom function, tiltrotator and joystick steering, all of which further enhance productivity and versatility.
The 12MSX retains the same architecture as the 12MTX, the same 2.7-metre turning diameter, the 0.75 cubic metre loader bucket and ability to lift 4 tonnes at 360 degrees. As well, its 75 hp engine requires no diesel exhaust fluid
The 12MRX retains all the benefits of the 12MTX but differs in that it has a more powerful attachment drive pump, wide heavy duty axles, travel speeds of up to 40 km per hour and greater tractive effort. Most of the new productivity options are standard on the 12MRX and the model that incorporates the most advanced technologies.
