Doosan Bobcat Community Days and the annual Fall Giving campaign mobilised more than 200 employees across North America
Compact equipment is often the first machine on site when a community project needs doing, from clearing a trail to landscaping a campsite. This year, Bobcat’s own employees were the ones in the seat.
During Doosan Bobcat Community Days, more than 200 employees contributed 2,000 volunteer hours to community projects across North America. The work included clearing and creating nature trails, picking up litter, renovating community campsites and planting trees, often with Bobcat machines helping to get the job done faster. Employees at other global locations took part as well.
“At Bobcat, we believe strong communities are built through action,” said Stacey Breuer, Vice President of HR at Doosan Bobcat North America.
Matching donations
Alongside volunteering, the annual Fall Giving campaign let North American employees support nonprofits of their choice, with Bobcat matching each donation dollar for dollar, up to $3,000 per employee. In total, Bobcat and its employees gave more than $100,000 to 80 nonprofit organisations.
The campaign sits within a broader community programme focused on STEM education, workforce development and disaster relief. Bobcat recently announced a $1 million multi-year investment in the Fargo-Moorhead Science Museum for hands-on STEM experiences, and has expanded its partnership with The Salvation Army with an additional $465,000 equipment donation, bringing its total contribution to more than $1.35 million since 2024.
For a manufacturer that needs a pipeline of future technicians and engineers, STEM education is a long-term investment in its own workforce as well as in its communities.
