CASE Construction Equipment has launched three new D Series mini excavators in the 3-ton class. The CX30D, CX34D and CX38D were previewed at Conexpo 2026 and are designed to work efficiently in tight spaces.

With a compact zero-tailswing design, operators can work up close against walls, near structures or around hazards. The new CASE 3-ton mini excavators come with an automotive-style cab with ergonomic controls, suspension seat and all-around visibility. Conveniently placed access panels and a tilting cab also make daily and preventative maintenance easier.

Each model brings its own standard features to match different jobsite needs. The CX38D is equipped with a long arm with thumb bracket, hydraulic auxiliary flow control and electronic throttle control with auto idle, helping operators work more smoothly while limiting unnecessary engine speed between tasks.

Visibility has also been given particular attention. The CX30D and CX38D feature an extensive lighting package for low-light applications, while cab-equipped versions across the range use a two-piece roll-up front window to improve sightlines to the work area and make communication with ground crews easier.

Attachment versatility remains a key part of the package. Designed to handle digging, trenching, material handling and vegetation-management work, the machines can be configured with multifunction one- and two-way hydraulics, a second two-way auxiliary circuit and, optionally, a third hydraulic circuit and constant-flow system for more demanding powered attachments.

On the CX38D, an optional six-way dozer blade adds grading and backfilling capability, further extending the machine’s role on site. All three models also come with provision for a hydraulic pin-grabber coupler, allowing operators to change attachments more quickly as work requirements shift.
