Highlights from Skyjack’s new machines:

  • New SJ45 AJN and SJ45 ARJN battery-powered electric slab boomsFeaturing a working height starting at 50 feet 11 inches (15.52 metres), Skyjack’s compact, zero emission, low noise SJ45 AJN and SJ45 ARJN have been designed to offer superior performance across indoor and outdoor job sites. With a platform capacity of 500 pounds (227 kilograms), a 4-foot 8-inch (1.4-metre) jib as standard, and a narrow width of 4 feet 11 inches (1.5 metres), the SJ45 AJN provides class-leading up-and-over access capability of 25 feet 7 inches (7.8 metres). This new slab boom offers outstanding onsite maneuverability and precision to work in confined spaces. The SJ45 ARJN represents one of the few machines in this class to offer a rotating jib, which provides 180-degrees horizontal movement (ANSI) or 132-degree horizontal movement (CE) to allow precise positioning of the platform and increased productivity. These narrow machines are capable of access through double standard doors, offer a low stowed-height of 6 feet 6 inches (1.98 metres), and have a weight under 16,000 pounds (7,258 kilograms) that increases ease of transport.
  • The recently launched SJ3232 E electric drive scissor lift represents the newest model in Skyjack’s range of slab scissorsSuitable for indoor and outdoor use, the narrow width and machine length of only 91.5 inches (2.32 metres) make the SJ3232 E ideal when both height and compact performance are needed. No stabilizers also mean the SJ3232 E is drivable at full height (working height is 11.46 metres or 37 feet 7 inches). These machines provide a clean, quiet, sustainable rental solution with zero emissions, low operating costs, and increased utilization.
  • The all-new SJ6940 RT rough-terrain scissor lift – The newest rough-terrain scissor lift has a working height of 46 feet (14.02 metres) and a platform capacity of 800 pounds (362.874 kilograms), setting a new benchmark as the tallest machine in Skyjack’s compact RT scissor class. Engineered with productivity and jobsite versatility in mind, the SJ6940 RT delivers the longest working area in the class with a platform that is 14 feet 10 inches (4.52 metres) in length with the roll-out deck extended. An oscillating front steer axle tackles tough jobsite terrain and auto-leveling outriggers (optional on ANSI/CSA models, standard on CE/AS models) maximize usability.
  • The new SJ5545 E electric-drive scissor lift represents the highest working height scissor in Skyjack’s range of slab scissors – This new electric-drive scissor lift and includes innovative design features, high platform capacities, and a clean, quiet, sustainable rental solution. With a working height of 51 feet (15.55 metres) and a load capacity of 770 pounds (349.2 kilograms), this E-Drive model has responsive control and manoeuvrability. The scissor stack design of the SJ5545 E features fully welded cross-bracing that increases rigidity and improves operator comfort at height. This scissor is drivable at full height, offers a 2-person wind-rating at 22 feet (6.7 metres), provides the largest working areas in its class with a robust, all-steel, anti-slip platform.
  • The SJ45 AJE+ and SJ60 AJHE+ represent Skyjack’s new hybrid-electric and battery-electric rough terrain articulating boom range – Now now available in the North American market, Skyjack designed these versatile new machines to navigate various rough terrain conditions and deliver performance in emission-restricted sensitive indoor worksites. These new booms have been  developed without compromising performance or features found in diesel machines. The range has  common specifications, parts, capacities, reach, and dimensions across all-electric, hybrid-electric, and  diesel options, allowing rental companies to choose preferred power within a single machine. Skyjack  booms are renowned for a superior driving experience, a consistent, multi-function capability, and  machine reliability.

A range of tools and safety features with Skyjack’s ACCESSORYZERS

  • Panel Carrier – The new Panel Carrier, designed for use with compact and conventional DC electric scissors, has been designed following feedback from the members of the Association of the Wall and Ceiling Industry and is designed specifically for applications that require holding and lifting sheet  materials. With a focus on ease of use, the new Panel Carrier requires no modification or tools for installation. The rated workload is up to 125 pounds (56.7 kilograms) and the maximum panel size is now 12 feet x 4 feet x five-eights-inch (3.66 metres x 1.22 metres x 1.59 centimetres).
  • LanyardGO – For booms, Skyjack is introducing LanyardGO to detect when an operator has attached their harness lanyard to the lanyard attachment point on the platform. A proximity sensor detects  whether or not the lanyard is attached, while coloured LED lights and audible alarm indicate whether  machine operation is good to ‘go’ or not. The LanyardGO anchor point inhibits machine operation until  the operator attaches their lanyard to the LanyardGO device. Once clipped to the lanyard attachment point, machine functionality returns. LanyardGO is available as a factory installation or as an aftermarket offering.
  • SKYPROTECT & SKYPROTECT+ – SKYPROTECT is a secondary guarding lift sensing option for scissors that detects potential collision hazards in the area above the operator through a control box mounted  ultrasonic sensor. Upon entering an adjustable, pre-set ‘warning zone’, an audible warning and e-stop  light will warn the operator. Once the ‘stop’ zone is reached, the operator can choose to override or  remain stopped. SKYPROTECT+ combines SKYPROTECT with Skyjack’s existing secondary enable switch  to provide additional functionality through the use of a secondary switch for lifting and reverse driving.
  • XStep32 (ANSI/CSA – North America only) – After the introduction of the award-winning XStep, Skyjack broadened the product offering, so that in addition to the micros, the SJ3215, and the SJ3219, the new XStep32 is now available on all Skyjack 32 series electric scissors. The new XStep32 is a universal  design and suitable for all our 32-inch (0.8-metre) width electric scissors. Now, Skyjack customers can benefit  from safe, maximized reach and productivity on even more of the product range.
  • Multi-view Camera & Sensor System (ANSI/CSA – North America only) – Skyjack’s Multi-view Camera &  Sensor system incorporates two additional cameras and a tri-view monitor display to enhance blind  spot visibility and awareness. The full-colour monitor allows the operator to toggle between individual  views of the left, right, and rear of the machine, or simultaneously display all three views, providing  220-degrees of visibility. A numeric visual proximity indicator on the rear view and an audible warning  provides enhanced object proximity awareness when reversing.

“Skyjack’s new ACCESSORYZERS are engineered with proven technology to help customers maximize utilization and add safety and functionality on a wide-range of jobsites,” added Corey Connolly, Skyjack’s head of Product Management. “Whether it’s helping transport and move materials to heights or protecting  operators and equipment with enhanced safety options, Skyjack’s innovative and reliable accessories are supporting and optimizing productivity.”
