Samoter 2026, Italian trade fair for the construction sector held in Verona, marked Develon’s Italian debut for the Series 9 crawler excavators, headlined by the DX360LC-9 (37 t) and DX400HD-9 (42 t), with E-Stop taking a Samoter Innovation Award 2026.
The DX360LC-9 was presented in the outdoor Digital Construction Site area, alongside E-Stop. The DX400HD-9 was shown in a static display on Develon’s stand as part of the broader Series 9 rollout.
Develon also showcased a wider spread of machines, including the updated DA30-7 articulated dump truck with a redesigned cab, the DX140RDM-7 compact demolition excavator, the DD130-7 dozer, the DL420CVT-7 wheel loader fitted with a continuously variable transmission, and a mini excavator range covering the DX27Z-7K, DX55R-7, and DX85R-7.
DX360LC-9 and DX400HD-9: Series 9 Excavators with Innovative Design
Series 9 machines are built on a redesigned platform that Develon describes as Full Electric Hydraulic (FEH), paired with integrated artificial intelligence functions intended to support productivity, controllability, and operator comfort. The DX360LC-9 and DX400HD-9 join the earlier DX230LC-9 and DX260LC-9 in the Series 9 range.
The DX360LC-9 is powered by the Develon DX08V engine, rated at 227 kW (304 hp) at 1,800 rpm (SAE J1995), with maximum torque of 1,230 kgf/m at 1,300 rpm. Develon quotes a maximum digging depth (standard arm) of 7,512 mm and a maximum reach of 11,113 mm.
The same DX08V engine also features on the DX400HD-9, where a two-stage turbocharger is used to reach 254 kW (341 hp) at 1,800 rpm (SAE J1995) and maximum torque of 1,460 kgf/m at 1,300 rpm. Digging depth and reach are stated at 7,512 mm and 11,113 mm, respectively.
E-Stop: camera and radar-based detection around the machine
E-Stop, winner of the SaMoTer Innovation Award 2026, is built around a Smart Around View Monitor (SAVM) camera system using AI-based detection for people in the machine’s working area, combined with radar that can detect objects up to 6 m away. When a person is detected within the defined risk zone, the system can slow or stop swing and machine movement.
DA30-7 Articulated Dump Truck: Operator Comfort and Precise Control
Develon highlighted at SaMoTer the new changes to the articulated dump truck cab introduced on the DA30-7. The updated layout includes a 12-inch touchscreen designed to bring together machine information, camera views, operating parameters, and settings in one interface.
DX140RDM-7 and DD130-7: Compact Demolition Excavator and Grading Dozer
For demolition work, the 14-tonne DX140RDM-7 was positioned as a compact option for urban sites and controlled demolition. Key features include a modular boom arrangement to switch between digging and demolition configurations, a cab tilt function up to 30 degrees, and an undercarriage that can extend hydraulically to 3.7 m and retract to 2.5 m for transport.
In the dozer segment, the DD130-7, recently joined by the new smaller DD100-7 model, puts visibility and grading control at the centre, with a rear-view camera and an 8-inch display used to monitor the area around the machine.

DL420CVT-7 wheel loader and mini excavators
The DL420CVT-7 was presented as part of Develon’s larger DL-7 wheel loader family, alongside the DL480-7, DL550-7, and DL580-7. Develon lists redesigned buckets with up to a 7% capacity increase, with maximum bucket volume stated at 4.5 m³.
On the compact side, Develon brought Stage V Series 7 mini excavators, including the 2.8-tonne DX27Z-7K, 5.7-tonne DX55R-7, and 8-tonne DX85R-7.
