The new machines are designed to remove DEF handling from daily maintenance, reducing fluid-related concerns in cold-weather operations.
DEVELON’s new DTL26 and DTL30 compact track loaders arrive with a clear focus on simplifying daily operation: both models eliminate the need for diesel exhaust fluid. For contractors working in cold climates, that removes one of the recurring maintenance issues linked to DEF handling, storage and freezing during winter operations.
The two machines are powered by a D24 diesel engine designed to stay below the 74-horsepower threshold that requires DEF-based aftertreatment. By avoiding the need for a selective catalytic reduction system, DEVELON is positioning the DTL26 and DTL30 as compact track loaders aimed at users who want fewer maintenance steps without moving away from diesel power.

DTL26 features a rated operating capacity of 2,600 pounds, while the DTL30 boasts a rated operating capacity of 3,000 pounds at 35% of tipping load. DTL26 and DTL30 are also operator-centric: they features a wide cab providing an expansive workspace that reduces physical strain. Visibility is enhanced via a standard rearview camera and a minimized A-pillar design.
An 8-inch touchscreen display brings key machine information into the cab, giving operators clearer access to operating data and selected machine functions. The layout is intended to make daily use more straightforward without adding unnecessary complexity.
DEVELON also offers Smart Assist functions such as return-to-dig, bucket shake and auto self-leveling. These features are designed to support less experienced operators by automating repeatable tasks and helping improve consistency during loading, grading and material handling work.
The DTL26 and DTL30 have been designed to work with a broad range of attachments, a key factor for owners looking to use the same compact track loader across different applications. With the optional hydraulic quick coupler, operators can switch from a bucket to pallet forks without leaving the cab, reducing downtime between tasks.
For more demanding tools, DEVELON offers optional high-flow auxiliary hydraulics. The system delivers up to 27 gpm, allowing the machines to operate attachments such as snowblowers, cold planers and brush cutters without a significant loss of hydraulic performance.
The loaders also include features aimed at improving control during attachment-heavy work. Creep speed control, for example, allows the operator to set a slow, consistent travel speed while maintaining full hydraulic power to the attachment, a useful function for applications such as trenching or milling.
Buyers can specify the DTL26 and DTL30 with options including high-flow auxiliary hydraulics, a hydraulic quick coupler and a 300-pound counterweight for additional lifting capacity. Undercarriage choices include a torsion suspension system, triple flange idlers or a fixed frame undercarriage, while a reversible cooling fan is available for work in high-debris environments.
Cab-focused options include an adjustable heated seat with air or mechanical suspension, an upgraded air-conditioning system and a polycarbonate swing-out door. Safety equipment can include a 270-degree around view monitor camera system with ultrasonic proximity sensors. Standard protection features include a cabin lamp guard, mud guard and travel motor hose guard. The machines are available in cab and canopy configurations, although most premium features are reserved for the cab version.
