The new LOGO 12 semi-trailer for round timber covered a distance of around 200,000 kilometers on roads and forest tracks during its development phase.

“We wanted to test the vehicle’s behavior in transport operations on the road and off-road. In the process, our semi-trailer for round timber covered a distance of around 200,000 kilometers.”

Said Daniel Spinner, Product Manager at DOLL TimTech.

DOLL TimTech produced a total of three vehicles for the development phase. Pilot customers from Germany, France, Austria, the Czech Republic and Poland then tested the LOGO 12 extensively in practice.
The prototypes underwent detailed technical acceptance testing, the DOLL technicians primarily checked the weld seams, screw connections and heavily stressed points on the frame construction.

Series production of the new LOGO 12 will start in November. Thanks to its modular system, it can be individually configured and customers can also choose between variable floor solutions, different load securing components and bolt-on options, such as an additional support or access steps.

The new LOGO 12 features a redesigned frame construction. The two main beams of the frame were additionally reinforced in the middle to absorb torsional forces, especially in off-road use. Depending on the configuration, the vehicle is available from a weight of 5.3 tons and is therefore up to 15 percent lighter than its predecessor. DOLL has also redesigned the bulkhead from scratch. The four bulkhead supports are now bolted directly to the frame.
