John Deere Power Systems (JDPS) announced the retirement of Pierre Guyot, senior vice president of JDPS, after 28 years with the company. His retirement is effective June 30, 2026.
Gregor Sueck, vice president of Tractor Engineering, was appointed to succeed Guyot as senior vice president, Power Systems, effective June 1, 2026.
Guyot joined John Deere in 1998, beginning his career in factory operations in France. Over the next two decades, he held critical leadership roles across Europe and the U.S., including key directorships in Germany and France where he oversaw transitions in supply management and engine standards.
Since moving to Moline in 2014 as vice president of Global Supply Management and Logistics, Guyot has been instrumental in transforming the company’s supply operations and delivering sustained cost efficiencies.
After being named senior vice president of JDPS in 2019, Guyot drove the renewal of the engine portfolio by bringing to production the JD14, JD18, and JD4 engine platforms, along with launching the JD5 and JD8 programs which will be available to customers in the coming years. He championed innovation in low-carbon solutions, including ethanol and electrification, and secured several patents while driving growth in the OEM and remanufacturing businesses.

Sueck brings extensive global leadership and engineering expertise to the position. Since joining John Deere in 2011, he has held various leadership roles, including director of Hay and Forage Engineering and director of Turf and Compact Utility Engineering, where he oversaw the launch of electrified turf equipment. He earned degrees in computer science and mechanical engineering from the University of Münster, as well as a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Stuttgart.
In his new capacity, he will oversee the strategic direction of JDPS, focusing on product leadership, cost competitiveness, and the next phase of growth for the remanufacturing and OEM businesses.
