Magni TH, an Italian manufacturer of telescopic handlers and aerial work platforms, announces the new Mild Hybrid powertrain for aerial platforms, developed to offer a new balance between performance, reduced fuel consumption, and operational flexibility. The range aims to maintain high performance while introducing smarter energy management, providing a solution between traditional diesel machines and fully electric models.
For operators and rental companies, the Mild Hybrid system offers some benefits, such as lower fuel consumption compared to diesel-only solutions, greater versatility of use and a machine suited to different working environments, even where energy efficiency is an increasingly important factor. It achieves this by pairing an 18.2 kW Kubota diesel engine with a lithium-ion battery pack, allowing the two energy sources to work and manage the available power efficiently.
The range has three families: MHAB, MHTB and MHS. The first includes models MHAB16RT, MHAB18RT, MHAB20RT, MHAB22RT and MHAB24RT, with working heights ranging from 16.27 m to 24.27 m and platform capacities of up to 320 kg. The articulated boom is aimed at clearing obstacles and reaching awkward work zones, while the machine’s low centre of gravity helps keep it stable.
The MHTB includes the MHTB16RT, MHTB18RT, MHTB20RT, MHTB22RT and MHTB24RT, offering working heights from 16.33 m to 24.20 m and load capacities up to 320 kg. The lineup is aimed at jobs where horizontal outreach, precise positioning and direct access at height matter most.
Last of all, there are the MHS1523RT and MHS1823RT, rough terrain scissor lift models, designed to combine high load capacity and productivity. The MHS1523RT, with a load capacity of 680 kg and a working height of 15 m, can accommodate up to 7 operators, while the MHS1823RT delivers an 18 m working height, a 680 kg platform capacity and space for up to four occupants. These scissor lifts are aimed at tasks that need a large deck for tools and materials, with several operators working simultaneously.
The Mild Hybrid series is used across numerous sectors, such as construction sites, industrial maintenance, plant engineering and work in obstacle-rich areas, where clearing obstacles and working around structural elements is essential. The telescopic models are tailored to building fronts, construction, installations and maintenance at heights where reach and precision are required. On the other hand, the rough terrain scissor lifts are ideal for construction sites, outdoor logistics, industrial installations and maintenance over large areas, combining high load capacity with a robust design and ample platform space.
With this lineup, Magni TH expands its presence in the aerial work platform market, targeting customers who want efficiency, performance and operational flexibility in one machine. The Mild Hybrid models are positioned for today’s access jobs, while addressing the market’s growing focus on fuel use and energy management.
