Stellar Industries has officially launched its new standard bumper design for the NXT Series Hooklifts. Designed to increase versatility with easy installation, the bumpers are now available in both bolt-on and welded configurations for all new NXT Series orders.
New standard bumper for NXT Series Hooklifts prioritizes durability
The new bumper design simplifies installation while allowing operators to seamlessly add essential accessories, including cameras, hitch options, and gladhands. The bumpers come in two capacity options: the 20K, designed for Class 3 – 6 chassis with a 20,000-lb pull capacity; and the 90K, built for Class 7 and 8 chassis with a 90,000-lb pull capacity.
This refined bumper design was developed and tested over the past two years, utilizing data-focused structural testing to ensure precise hitch load ratings. The project involved an ongoing partnership with Iowa State University’s Center for Industrial Research and Service (CIRAS) to validate multiple configurations under rated load, fatigue, and failure conditions. This rigorous testing ensures that customers receive a product backed by proven performance and structural integrity.
“We’ve introduced, tested, and enhanced the hooklift bumper into something that customers can rely on,” said Tim Worman, director of Product Management at Stellar. “We are thrilled that we had the opportunity to work with CIRAS on this project and can’t wait for customers to experience the difference.”
