A Manufacturing Capability that Continues to Expand

Last year, Zoomlion’s overseas sales surpassed its domestic sales in China. Europe has become a major focus for growth. Zoomlion has established manufacturing bases in Italy, Frankfurt, and Hungary to serve the European market more efficiently. In addition, a strong team of R&D engineers based in Europe ensures that Zoomlion’s products are tailored to meet local customer needs, legal requirements, and certification standards.

How Zoomlion is Improving the Aftermarket Support in the Challenging European Environment

Additionally, Zoomlion has made significant investments in its European aftermarket support:

  • Training and Education: Zoomlion has established dedicated training centers in Europe. These facilities host in-house instructors who train both Zoomlion engineers to ensure optimal and safe use of equipment, as well as proper maintenance practices.
  • Spare Parts Management: The company has implemented an advanced online system for spare parts. Customers can not only view detailed parts information but also place orders directly through the platform.
  • AI and Digital Assistance: Zoomlion has developed its own AI assistant system, designed to support both technical queries and operational guidance. Users can interact with the assistant via voice commands to receive detailed answers on machine operation and maintenance. The AI is connected directly to Zoomlion devices, accessing real-time data to provide highly accurate responses and recommendations.

Key Machines at Bauma

  • Aerial Work Equipment: A highlight of Zoomlion’s lineup is the ZT72J-V, the highest telescopic boom lift in Europe, showcasing its high-end AWP development.
  • Earthmoving Machinery: The company has unveiled 10 earthmoving machines, many featuring 5G remote control, AI panoramic monitoring, and electric-drive energy recovery. The most notable models are the ZE20G and ZE27GU excavators.
  • Tower Cranes: CE-certified R-series large-tonnage cranes were unveiled with 5G remote operation.
  • Concrete Machinery: The company has introduced six concrete machines, including a 70-meter pump truck with a topology-optimized boom and smart mixer trucks with remote upgrades and intelligent diagnostics.

Zoomlion places a strong emphasis on digital transformation and environmental responsibility as it develops its next-generation machinery:

  • Intelligent Monitoring: Most machines are equipped with advanced AI systems capable of self-adjustment and self-monitoring. These technologies not only enhance operational efficiency but also simplify after-sales service and maintenance.
  • Fuel Efficiency: Lower fuel consumption remains a core design objective, delivering cost savings for end users and contributing to environmental sustainability.
  • New Energy Technologies: Zoomlion is investing in hybrid and electric systems, particularly for heavy-duty applications. These innovations are already being deployed in mining operations across Southeast Asia.
