Volvo Group establishes dedicated global mining business

Volvo Mining will focus on customers close to home 

Initially, Volvo Mining will focus on mining customers and contractors in Sweden, Norway, and Finland, with plans to expand into additional markets. The Nordic countries have a large and vital mining sector, with Sweden at the head of metal and mineral production. 

Mining operations require multiple types of machines and vehicles to work together across excavation, hauling, loading, and transportation in demanding and often remote conditions. As mines continue to focus on improving productivity, reducing emissions, and enhancing safety, the need for integrated solutions is growing.
