Attendees can speak directly with manufacturers and engineers, learn directly from industry experts, and build valuable relationships across the asphalt and aggregates industries all in one trip.

Enhanced educational programming spans management, machinery, and techniques

World of Asphalt’s People, Plants and Paving Conference and the AGG1 Academy will connect attendees with experts for practical discussions on the issues, trends, and opportunities shaping the construction industry, with more than 60 sessions organized into five tracks to help attendees find education that meets their needs. New for 2027, sessions covering technology within their topic will carry a Technology designation.

  • People: focuses on leadership, accountability, training, and team culture that helps asphalt professionals excel in their careers
  • Plants: tackles plant performance, maintenance, and mix quality, from RAP and warm mix to binders and balanced mix design, to keep facilities operating at peak levels
  • Paving: covers the techniques and technologies, such as intelligent compaction and machine control, for constructing safe, smooth, high-quality asphalt pavements with optimum efficiency and profitability
  • Pavement Preservation & Maintenance: teaches the treatments used to extend pavement life, such as chip and fog seals, thinlays, ultrathin bonded wearing courses, and cold recycling
  • Environment, Health, Safety & Sustainability (EHS&S): covers work zone and plant safety, worker health, environmental product declarations, sustainability strategy, and community relations

The AGG1 Academy will offer expert-led sessions designed to help aggregates professionals at every career level improve operational efficiency, apply industry best practices, strengthen safety and sustainability, and drive innovation.

Its four tracks include:

  • Operations & Production: covers plant operations, production, equipment maintenance, and fleet management
  • Environment, Safety & Health: tackles best practices and techniques for the aggregates industry to be efficient, safe, and sustainable, with education on the latest regulations and standards
  • Business Management & Leadership: focuses on the business of operations, including the financial principles, community relations, marketing, and sales
  • Automation, Technology & Software: explores automation fundamentals, software solutions, artificial intelligence, data management, and emerging technologies

Across 250,000 net square feet of exhibit space, more than 450 exhibitors will showcase equipment, products, services, and technologies for asphalt, aggregates, pavement maintenance, traffic safety, and related operations. Innovation will take centre stage, with roughly 1 in 5 exhibitors planning to launch new products or technologies at the show.

Throughout the show, the Community Zone will provide a dedicated place to relax and connect with peers or engage with industry organizations. Voices from leadership

“Bringing World of Asphalt and AGG1 to New Orleans for the first time gives us an exciting new backdrop for the ideas, connections, and innovation that move these industries forward,” said Brittany Schmidtke, World of Asphalt and AGG1 show director. “Attendees can bring their toughest questions, compare solutions side by side, and head home with answers they can put to work.”

“World of Asphalt is where our industry comes together to learn from each other,” said Audrey Copeland, National Asphalt Pavement Association president and CEO. “The people who produce and place asphalt pavements solve real problems every day, and this show puts that experience to work alongside the technologies that will shape how we build and preserve roads for decades to come.”

“As AGG1 2027 makes its debut in New Orleans, attendees will experience more than just a trade show. They will be part of the premier gathering for the aggregates and industrial sand industry,” said Michele Stanley, National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association president and CEO. “From world-class education and networking opportunities to hands-on access to the latest equipment, technology, and best practices, AGG1 delivers practical insights and connections that help attendees strengthen their operations and grow their businesses.”
